Announcing our first All Employee Zoom meeting

We are ready. We are joining the wave of companies that are getting together with their teams - virtually. Nora and I have an exciting new plan that we want to share with you and we decided Live communication would be awesome. On Thursday night, July 30 @ 6pm we hope you can join us for our first ever Managed Senior Care ZOOM call.

If you are new to this, like we were, it will be important that you create a free Zoom account for yourself prior to the event. The closer to the event that you make the account the more stressed you will feel (at least that was my experience).

What do you think? This was the thought in my devotional this morning. I really like it. During my younger days when my work and my kids’ schedules were so crazy, I often got down on myself for not working harder to find prayer and study time in my day. I think this view of work, would have made me feel so much better. Here at Managed Senior Care we focus all the time on how the work you do, when done in His honor will bring him glory. How empowering if you also thought of your work as your prayer; Your own opportunity to communion with God.

Give it a shot this week. I would love to hear if it made any difference for you. I am going to practice it this week too. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Being Nice

I heard an expression this morning that I really liked and have decided to adopt. It went, “Be nicer than you have to be”. Isn’t that great! During this time when so much seems out of control, scary and worrisome, how about being the person that is nice. And not just nice, but “nicer than you have to be”. It would seem to me that a community filled with people willing to do more than they have to could solve any problem.

Tomorrow is the end of June and the last day for our Premium Pay benefit. While we are aware the coronavirus is still a threat to our community, we have learned some effective prevention strategies during the last few months and our medical community is making progress with their treatment protocols. Nora and I are constantly assessing the work environment and will continue to look for new ways to show our appreciation for all you do.

Have a safe and wonderful 4th of July. We are truly blessed to live in this great country.

8 Simple Steps to Stay Safe

We continue to be blessed with both healthy and safe caregivers and seniors, however, it’s important we do not let down our guard. The 8 Simple Steps that we have asked all of you to follow have worked for us and we want to make sure you continue with each one. When the situation is safe, we will revise our procedures, but until then we must all do our part.

This is also a quick reminder that we have both face masks and face shields in the office. If you need either one, just call the office and make arrangements to pick them up. The same goes for aprons or gloves.
