Next Quarterly Meeting - August 20, 2024 @ 6:00pm

danna gomez July 23, 2024

Tuesday, August 20 is our next Quarterly Employee Meeting at our office. Our topic will be Technology that helps keep seniors safe and makes life a bit easier.

The event will begin with socializing and snacks at 5:30,  then 1 of the 2 mandatory trainings that you need to complete each year will be offered at 6pm - 6:30.

The training will also be available thru livestream. If you cannot come in person, please log in to the call for the training portion. (Meeting link will be sent closer to the event.) As an added incentive to attend in person and spend time with your teammates, we will be drawing for some of the devices that we share during the meeting. We hope you can join us!

We look forward to seeing you. :)

Unverified Location Notice

If you are receiving a message from the office that your location could not be verified when you clocked in or out of your shift, AND you have Location = ON, then you might have accidently Blocked the WellSky application from your Location setting. If you receive a message from the Office, please double check the Applications that you allow to receive your Location by going to your phone settings. If that isn’t the answer, please contact the Office to discuss.

No Internet Connection

danna gomez July 18, 2024

The new state regulation requiring all care shifts to clock in and out with a Geo Code goes in to effect on Sept 3. We have been working diligently to make sure all our processes are updated to make this a seamless implementation.

4 Points to remember:

  • You must clock in and out with the mobile app

    • Offline Clock In or Out is enabled for the times when you do not have an internet connection. You will see a message, advising “You are in Offline mode because you do not have an internet connection. Your shift details are limited to clock-in and clock-out. Be sure to open the WellSky Personal Care app when you have internet connectivity so your shift(s) can be submitted to your agency.” The office will contact you to obtain the task information the next day.

    • You can use the client’s landline. You can call the 844-462-8187 number (it’s on your badge) to clock in and out, only if it is a landline and listed on the client’s profile in WellSky.

  • Your location settings must be on for use with the WellSky mobile app

  • You need to be at the clients home to clock in and out

  • You need the client’s signature before you leave the location.

If you have any questions, please contact the office for help. We are all very committed to make this easy for everyone! Thank you for all you do.

July is Social Wellness Month

danna gomez July 16, 2024

July is Social Wellness month and don’t we all need this some times. Isolation and loneliness are an epidemic in our country and the leading cause of many mental and physical ailments. There is no where this is more prevelant than with our seniors. Consider how you can help your senior connect just a little bit more this month.

There are three ways Seniors can make the most of Social Wellness Month

  1. Explore events at your local senior center. By joining hobby groups and exercise classes, you can meet new people.

  2. Host a Get-Together. Get friends and family together for a game or movie night, potluck dinner or holiday gathering.

  3. Connect through virtual meetings. When you cannot meet in person, chatting on line is the next best thing. You can catch up with long-distance family friends or join virtual communities or enroll in online classes.

Be creative and think of ideas of how you can help your senior get connected. Make sure you share your efforts with us. We want to hear about your efforts. Send pictures to the office and we will share here next month!

We value your commitment

danna gomez May 17, 2024

Nora and I are looking forward to seeing all of you again next week. Spending time with the amazing men and women that care for the seniors in our community is one of the great rewards of running our agency. We have a lot to talk about, so we hope you can join us either in person or via video conference. (The link was sent to you via text.)

2nd Qtr employee meeting and training - May 21. 5:30 Social time, 6:00 Training.

New Comments Feature

We are pleased to share a new functionality in the mobile app. You can now leave a message for the next caregiver on your senior’s care team and you can hear comments left for you by the prior caregiver.

Comments can be shared within both the mobile app and the back-up telephony option. As always, you are encouraged to use the mobile app for clock in / out. (The telephony is only to be used as a back-up option when cellular data doesn’t work.)

Mobile App

After a caregiver clocks-in to their shift, they will see messages left from the previous caregiver as one of the first items on the Shift Details view. After listening or reading a comment, the caregiver has the option to mark the comment as read. Once the comment is marked as read, it is no longer accessible to the caregiver.

Telephony

After you record a general comment, you can press 1 to allow the next caregiver to hear your comment. The reverse is also true, when you clock-in to the next shift via telephony you will hear that a message was left for you.

Reminder: Comments are visible to the senior, their family, social workers and office staff. Never leave coaching comments about another caregiver’s work as a general comment, those should be only shared with the office staff.
